Sun and Moon -a creation myth-In the time before time, when everything was new, the Great Creator created gods and goddesses to help him watch over the world below. Of these gods, his prize creations were Sister Moon and Sister Sun.
Sister Moon was a pale beauty with long silver hair, glistening black eyes, and she wore around her the stars. Sister Sun was not nearly as beautiful, but she was strong. She had tanned skin with hair the color of a dying sky, and around her she wore layers of flame.
Despite being so opposite, they lived next to one another in complete happiness and bliss. Where they lived in the heavens, they cast their radiance down to earth, Sister Moon absorbing some of Sister Sun's fierce blaze so that the world lived in a perpetual and beautiful twilight.
They rotated the world together, casting their glow to every corner equally so that the green grounds flourished and the life thrived healthily. They were happy together and neither wanted for anything.
